Tilney St. Lawrence Village NEW representatives At our AGM 2008, the committee members agreed to ask for a representative from the Tilney St Lawrence Parish Church onto our committee as trustees. We are pleased to announce this post has been filled by Brian & Linda COBB. We would like to welcome them and hope both become active members of our well established organisation. |
Tilney St. Lawrence Village Committee AGM 2008 The AGM was held in the village hall on Wednesday 12th March 2008. All officers and trustees stood down and then the secretary
conducted the election All new members positions are posted in the MEMBERS section. The Committee would like to thank all retiring Officers for their good work throughout the year.

Friday Evening Hall Hire Charge To increase our hiring for a Friday evening, the Committee have agreed
(at our February 2008 meeting) to REDUCE the
hourly fee from £14.00 an hour to £10.00
an hour. This will take immediate effect and will stay at the new
and reduced rate for the rest of this year. We hope this will be welcomed
by all hirers and encourage hirers to use the hall more on a Friday
evening. |
Hall Hire Charges Due to increasing cost of oil heating, the Committee have agreed (at our February 2008 meeting) to change the hiring fees during the winter months. This will be known as WINTER HEATING CHARGE and will apply to the following months: January to March & October to December. The increase will be an extra £1.00 per hour. |
Brilliant news on hall extension The village hall committe have been granted permission for an 883
metre extension to the side of the hall, The existing car park at the hall is to be resurfaced and slightly
extended onto the playing field, but the football pitch would not
be affected. The extension can be used by youth clubs, adult education groups
and people hiring the hall. |
